Blankets of Hope - Project Update

Below is a recent update on another project started by a friend and colleague of mine.

Just look around. There is something you can do too. Get Involved!!
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To Family and Friends~
A time for Thanksgiving and a time for me to thank all of you who graciously helped with the "Blankets of Hope" project. We have completed 59 blankets and they are all personalized with a tag for each child and will be sent to Open Arms Ministry this week. A picture is attached of the completed blankets. I could not have done this project without each of you being a part of it and I can't thank you enough for your love and support.
This project will of course be an ongoing event as Open Arms brings more children into the day care center in order to keep families together. So, after the first of year, I will resume sewing blankets to Open Arms as they add to their family.  So, if you would like to continue to contribute, many thanks in advance.
You can also make lap blankets for the elderly in day care or in care facilities, you can crochet or knit hats and gloves for toddlers and pre-schoolers in Head Start, and make quilts for the homeless shelters. Yes there are many here in your community who can use your help. Look around. Your help is needed.
