Happy Halloween from Quebo, Guinea Bissau W Africa

We are just about ready to launch the project for the building of the much needed medical clinic in Djati, but today, I was very excited when I received these pictures of Raquel's clinic in Quebo, (courtesy of Maritza, our wandering angel!)

If you've been following me, you might remember me speaking of the Fula village of Quebo in previous posts. It is the village where Freddy and Raquel live and during our visit home in February, we had the opportunity to visit Quebo. It is also the village which honored me in a re-naming ceremony.  Quebo is much larger and much more accessible than Djati but it is still very poor and in much need of many services.

Maritza says: These pictures highlight medical outreach in Quebo...despite the fact that it was Tabaki, many came and waited patiently to be attended.
Raquel and Dr. Marta worked hard, and I of course was the number one photographer...smiling
As in every place, the need is great! People continued to ask the doctor to stay a few more days. We hope to be able to do it again, as often as we are able and as often as doctors are willing to come to Quebo, Djati, Guiledje etc.
