Happy Endings - The Djati Medical Clinic - UPDATE

A BIG shout out to Shelly, our latest contributor to It Takes a Village.
Shelly volunteered to donate her April birthday and set a goal to raise $1,000 for the medical clinic project in Djati, Guinea Bissau.

I am happy to report that Shelly not only met her goal but she exceeded it, and raised a whopping $1,595!!!

                                                  Thank you Shelly!

And with that said --  we have come to the end of the fundraising portion of our project. We have exceeded our project goal of $8,000 to build the Djati Medical Clinic by raising $9,500.

but we're not finished yet.

new school in Guiledge
In the coming weeks I will update you on the status of the construction of the clinic. The rainy season is fast approaching, and with the rains will come a halt in building in Djati.  But...not to worry.  Come late fall, the grounds will dry out and building will begin again. In the meantime, I will continue posting about the progress of our 2nd school in Guiledge.

Thank you all again for your continued support.

Use your birthday to change the world!
