The Children of Djati, Guinea Bissau W Africa

During my trip to Guinea Bissau I am going to visit the tiny remote Balanta village of Djati. I was fortunate enough to obtain many photos of the village as well as some history.

A big Thank You goes to Maritza (from our very own Casa Emanuel Orphanage) for the pictures! She has also been gathering information about Djati and translating it from Portuguese for me.

I'll write more about my plans for Djati and its people in the coming weeks. So please stay tuned!

In the meantime here are a few photos of the children

There's always time for play
